Jamie Monte De Ramos

Hi, I’m Jamie! I’m a classically trained pianist with over 22 years of training and experience in the music industry. Music has been my entire life for as long as I can remember, since I began playing the piano at 2 years old! Having completed my Level 10 Piano Examinations, I am currently pursuing my ARCT Diploma in Piano Performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as a certification in Music Business from Berklee College of Music. My journey has revolved around many musical endeavours growing into a professional keyboardist, and I was heavily inspired by my mentors and peers to develop my passions into education and instruction, with almost a decade of experience as a Piano Teacher today. I am also an active Freelance Performance Artist throughout the GTA, I love showcasing my versatility and exploring various genres outside of classical such as R&B, jazz, and modern impressionism music!

While my expertise lies in the RCM syllabus, I focus on aligning my methods with my student's interests, goals, and needs. My passion lies in empowering students to cultivate their musicality and confidence, inspire others to grow and develop their artistry, and above all help to foster a genuine and positive connection with music! Even in my personal life, a lot of my enjoyment comes from and through music. I really enjoy going to open-mic jams in the city, writing my own compositions, and learning other instruments as a hobby, like recently picking up the guitar. Outside of music, I love exploring nature and going on adventures, scenic drives, and hikes. Stargazing is one of my favourite activities, paired with a great playlist to set the vibes!
